Yes, I know it is November.
But, oh, October! It is the month when fall seems to make its official arrival. Temperatures begin to cool down and the scarves and sweaters I love are now hanging in my closet eager to welcome each morning.
The smell of pumpkin bread and homemade applesauce drift down the hallways in my home. Rich soups and warm pies are craved.
The oak trees outside my window show off their leaves colored with deep reds and golden yellows. They take my breath away as they pose against the deep blue skies.
Weekend trips to apple barns and fall festivals are much anticipated.
October is cozy, content and more settled. Somehow it seems wiser and more appreciative of nature than the spring and summer months ~and there is much richness and vibrancy present.
I’d like to think I am in the “October” of my life.
” I am so lucky to live in a world where there are Octobers”
